Issue

FIM is unable to replicate the cache between multiple FIM instances in a clustered deployment.

The following error message occurs:

2008-03-24 16:00:33,907, (CacheErrorHandler.java:179), rsafim.mytest.com, , , , ERROR: Unable to access Remote cache., java.lang.ClassCastException: org.jpox.store.OID
at weblogic.rjvm.ResponseImpl.unmarshalReturn(ResponseImpl.java:195)

Cause

This error occurs when multiple instances of the FIM cache are unable to communicate with each other over IP.

Resolution

Ensure that the version of WebLogic you are using has a licence that allows for sufficient TCP connections. The trial version of WebLogic only allows a limited number of connections.
If you are installing the WebLogic version received from RSA with FIM you can apply the license from the FIM CD in the WLS\license folder.
