RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle Support will often request an AWR report from customers to assist with troubleshooting product issues.

Customers, in return, will be asked by their DBAs if we are licensed to run AWR reports, as these are subject to licensing by Oracle. The right to use AWR is part of the Oracle Diagnostics Pack.

RSA-supplied databases for RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle on Hardware Appliance or Software Bundle do have the necessary licensing to use the Oracle Diagnostics Pack and accordingly the required feature is enabled in the database.

This can be demonstrated by running the following SQL statement:

oracle@acm-710:~> sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release Production on Tue Feb 26 14:02:44 2019

NAME                                   TYPE                       VALUE
------------------------------------   -------------              -------------------

control_management_pack_access          string                     DIAGNOSTIC
ResolutionSeeing the value of DIAGNOSTIC in the above SQL query indicates that the Oracle Diagnostics Pack is enabled (subject to having the required Oracle license) to run AWR reports.

You can use the same SQL query to check on customer-supplied databases if the customer has enabled the required feature (subject to having the license for Oracle Diagnostics Pack) to provide us with AWR reports.
