Summary:
RSA Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce is a comprehensive authentication and fraud detection solution for the eCommerce market. The solution is based on the 3DSecure protocol (Verified By Visa and Mastercard SecureCode) and is powered by risk-based authentication, an intelligent system that authenticates a user by measuring a series of risk indicators. Transparent authentication provides a user-experience in which a customer is only challenged in high-risk scenarios.

Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce is certified for the EMV 3DS 2.1 protocol by Visa and Mastercard.
Additional Support for EMV 3DS Challenge Authentication Transactions in the Customer Service Application
The Customer Service application includes additional detailed data for tracking EMV 3DS 2.0 transactions.
The Activity Log includes these new Operations:
- Application Based (2.0) Challenge Started
- Start Browser Based (2.0) Challenge
- Transaction Session Expired
- Resend OTP
- Transaction canceled by user
- Challenge Internal Error
The following new error code is now included:

Support for Use of Issuer Data in Policy Management Rules
In RSA Interface calls, in EMV 3DS transactions, the issuer can use custom facts to send issuer data based on information shared by RSA for the transaction. These custom facts can then be used in the Policy Management application.
