Summary:

RSA Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce is a comprehensive authentication and fraud detection solution for the eCommerce market. The solution is based on the 3DSecure protocol (Visa Secure and Mastercard Identity Check) and is powered by risk-based authentication, an intelligent system that authenticates a user by measuring a series of risk indicators. Transparent authentication provides a user-experience in which a customer is only challenged in high-risk scenarios.

What's New in Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce 20.3

Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce 20.3 includes these enhancements and new features:

RSA Interface Expansion and Enhancements

RSA continues to expand its open authentication framework, offering additional in-house and external integration options with advanced authentication flows for cases when a frictionless transparent flow cannot be supported.

This release includes RSA Interface v 3.1  support for:

  • 3DS 1.0 token flows
  • 3DS 1.0 OTP (RSA all) flows
  • getCardInfo calls for 3DS 1.0 transactions
    • A configurable look and feel using customized logos and text, at the transactional card level

Note: RSA Interface v3.0 functionality is unchanged.

For more information, see the RSA Interface Guide.

    User Experience Enhancements

RSA leverages the elements introduced in EMV 3DS to provide an improved and smoother user experience. This release includes support for multiple default languages per BIN. Supported languages are: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Lithuanian, Czech, Greek, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, and Hungarian.

    Credit Card Network Support

This release of Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce includes updated branding for Visa Secure.

Enhanced Data Visibility and Transaction Flow Control

In this release, Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce provides increased data visibility and additional transaction control flow with additional support for EMV 3DS transactions in the Raw Data Reports.

Note: Some EMV 3DS transaction elements may be longer than the equivalent elements in 3DS 1.0 transactions. As a result, the RDR fields may be larger than they would be for 3DS 1.0 transactions. Make sure that all processes that involve RDRs are prepared for any data field size changes that may occur.

This table lists the fields that have larger field sizes for EMV 3DS transactions and the new field size.
