RSA announces the general availability of RSA BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition 4.1.4 cryptographic toolkit.

 

Description:

RSA BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition 4.1.4 is a maintenance release addressing the Transition Plans for Key Establishment Schemes using Public Key Cryptography announced by NIST, following guidelines stipulated by SP 800-131A Revision 1, along with bug fixes, security fixes and new features and algorithms.

 

Notable new features are

  • Key assurance and validation APIs for asymmetric keys
  • Key wrapping APIs, for both symmetric and asymmetric keys
  • ARM64 assembly optimizations
  • Support for HKDF
  • Support for SHA-3 digests. SHA-3 can be used with message authentication code (MAC), signature, encryption, and random-bit-generator algorithms.
