The total number of global fraud attacks detected by RSA increased 63 percent in the first half of the year.  The breakdown of fraud attacks by type is listed below:

  • Phishing – 6 percent increase
  • Financial malware – 80 percent increase
  • Social media attacks – 37 percent increase
  • Rogue mobile apps – 191 percent increase
