IssueE-mail Alerts Option when creating rules in Policy Manager in Adaptive Authentication (Hosted)
Resolution

The Email Alerts Option is used to generate an automatic e-mail alert notice when the rule is triggered.

Organizations may choose to work with e-mail alerts. When working with e-mail alerts, one of the options available when defining a rule is to send an automatic e-mail message every time that the rule is triggered. Alerts are sent out for both Test and Production Rules. The alert notice is sent automatically to a list of e-mail addresses supplied by the organization.

E-mail addresses may be changed as needed using the FI_CONFIG file.

The field Email Alert Recipients in the FI_CONFIG file defines the e-mail addresses to which alerts will be sent. E-mail addresses are separated by semicolons. There is no limit on the number of e-mail addresses that can be added.

Note: The number of e-mail alerts sent per day is limited to 1000. A notification e-mail is sent when this limit is reached, and no additional e-mails will be sent on that day. For vendors with multiple organizations, the limitation is enforced at the organization level.

The following figure shows option to enable the email alert while creating a rule.
