Issue | Post upgrade to 6.6 or higher, the RSA Archer Control Panel (ACP) does not load and the following error occurs. However, the RSA Archer services start and work properly.
Error finding plugins Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information. Could not load file or assembly 'GemStone.GemFire.Cache.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found. Could not load file or assembly 'GemStone.GemFire.Cache.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found. Cause | In 6.6 or higher, the Caching service is obsolete and so is the GemFire module. However, the Archer installer fails to clean up the GemFire related files from the Archer folder. Default is C:\Program Files\RSA Archer\Archer Control Panel\Plugins. |
Resolution | - Go to the Plugins folder location. Default is C:\Program Files\RSA Archer\Archer Control Panel\Plugins
- Find all the files related to "GemFire". Here are known files:
ArcherTech.ControlPanel.Plugins.GemFireCacheMonitor.exe ArcherTech.ControlPanel.Plugins.GemFireCacheMonitor.exe.config GemStone.GemFire.Cache.dll GemStone.GemFire.Cache.xml Gemstone.Gemfire.Plugins.SQLite.dll gemfire.ico
- Delete or move files to a different location.
- Restart RSA Archer services.
- Reload the Archer Control Panel.
