IssueAfter upgrading the Admin server to 11.3.1.0, the reports are failing with the following error in /var/netwitness/re-server/rsa/soc/reporting-engine/logs/reporting-engine.log.

'std::bad_alloc' is also noticed in /var/log/messages.

CauseThe issue is caused by a race condition in the Broker Progress handler which triggered memory corruption in Broker and caused bad_alloc or service crash.

 
ResolutionThe fix for this issue is added to NetWitness 11.3.1.1 and later.
Please upgrade to 11.3.1.1 or later to resolve the problem.
WorkaroundThere is no supported workaround.
