Issue
  • May apply to some users such as General Users, but not others such as System Administrators.
  • On the "Add New Record" screen for a questionnaire, an error appears stating that "The ... field is a required field".   There is no ability to populate any fields in the questionnaire on the "Add New Record" page and this user is blocked from creating questionnaire records.

CauseAll questionnaires have a reference to the target application that is a required field for every questionnaire record. 

If the reference field to the target application has been locked down as "Private" on the Administration tab of the field, then some users may not be able to link the questionnaire to the target application's record.  In this situation, these users will be blocked from creating questionnaire records.
 
ResolutionIn the questionnaire, change the locked reference field to the Questionnaire's target application from "Private" to "Public" from the Access tab.
