IssueWhenever trying to open the installer, it goes to not responding and closes. The installation cannot be done.
CauseThis problem occurs as sometimes the environment at the customer's is not wholly compatible or there are some screen resolution problems that may cause any application (not just the installer) to go to not responding mode and forced to be closed.
ResolutionChanging the compatibility settings to any of the supported windows versions should fix this problem.
Workaround
  1. Right-click on the installer and select Properties

  2. From the Compatibility tab, choose Run this program in compatibility mode for and choose Windows 8.

  3. Try rerunning the installer and it will open.
NotesChoosing any option other than Windows 8 can work as well.
