IssueWhen adding a custom workflow variable to a hyperlink in the email body of a workflow node, the URL is stripped out after saving the workflow and there is no hyperlink.

EXAMPLE

In the following example, a hyperlink called Test is added to the Email of an Approval Workflow Node. (Requests > Workflows > {Approval tab} > {Workflow name}).

After saving the workflow, Test is a string of text instead of a hyperlink:

CauseThis issue occurs when part of the URL is defined as a job-level variable and part of the URL is static text.

This is a known issue reported in engineering ticket ACM-105056.

ResolutionThis issue is resolved in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2.0 P03.

WorkaroundUpgrade to the versions mentioned in related RSA Knowledge Base Article 000038616 -- Hyperlinks in the Email body of Workflow Nodes that are defined as Job Level Variables are not saved in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle. Once you have upgraded to one of those versions, the following workaround can be used:

Create a new job-level variable where the entire URL is part of the variable and no part of the URL includes static text.
