Issue | At the end of the Vendor Portal Service Install, while trying to start the service, it fails with the following error:
The Windows System Event log contains:
No Vendor Portal logs are written. |
Cause | There are some prerequisites that are called out in the Vendor Portal Service Guide that were likely missed, most likely Microsoft .NET Core SDK 2.2.207. There is a more current version of the SDK (3.1x) but it will not work with the Vendor Portal Service until a future release. |
Resolution | Verify that on the Vendor Portal Service Server you have installed the following: Microsoft .NET Framework Runtime 4.8 Microsoft .NET Core SDK 2.2.207 Restart Windows, then delete the Vendor Portal Service Install folder and reinstall. |
