CauseThis issue is due to incorrect configuration in interface file as BOOTPROTO configured with DHCP.

cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
# Generated by NetWitness netconfig
DEVICE=eth0
TYPE=Ethernet
BOOTPROTO=DHCP
IPADDR=X.X.X.X
NETMASK=X.X.X.X
GATEWAY=X.X.X.X
NM_CONTROLLED=no
ONBOOT=yes
PEERDNS=yes
Resolution
  1. Please change BOOTPROTO value from DHCP to static as below.

    cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
    # Generated by NetWitness netconfig
    DEVICE=eth0
    TYPE=Ethernet
    BOOTPROTO=static
    IPADDR=X.X.X.X
    NETMASK=X.X.X.X
    GATEWAY=X.X.X.X
    NM_CONTROLLED=no
    ONBOOT=yes
    PEERDNS=yes

  2. Restart network service and verify status using commands.

    systemctl restart network.service
    systemctl status network.service

  3. Now Network service must be running and Configure other details of IPADDR, NETMASK, GATEWAY to access putty.
