RSA announces the availability of RSA Adaptive Authentication Mobile SDK Modules 4.2. With this release, RSA provides new enhancements, certifications and fixed issues.

What's New in this Release

RSA Adaptive Authentication Mobile SDK Modules 4.2 includes these new features, enhancements, and changes.

New Certification

The Adaptive Authentication Mobile SDK Modules are certified for these mobile operating systems.

  • Android 11 (API version 30)
  • iOS 14

In addition, the Adaptive Authentication Mobile SDK Modules now support applications built on XCode 12.

For more information about configuring the application, see the RSA Adaptive Authentication Mobile SDK Data Collection Module Developer's Guide.

WifiMacAddress Collection Changes for Android 11 and Later

In the Data Collection Module, the WiFiMacAddress is not collected on devices running Android 11 and later due to restrictions on the framework API.

Management Options for Geo-Location Data Collection for iOS 14 and Later

In the Data Collection Module, for geo-location data collection from iOS devices, the end user can select either Precise or Approximate location. Adaptive Authentication Mobile SDK Modules provides these related options for the application:

  • Retain the end-user geo-location selection
  • (Recommended) Prompt the end user to provide the Precise On location using the configuration parameter in the Data Collection Module.

For more information, see Managing iOS 14 Geo-Location Data Collection in the Mobile SDK Data Collection Module Developer's Guide.
