Cause

This is a known issue in the following versions.

  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2.1
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2.1 P01

This issue only occurs if the migrated data includes the following Rule types and only if those Rules include references to Roles. It occurs if Role information referenced by the Rules has Role names that include extended characters.
  • Role Membership Rule Difference
  • Role Metric Change
  • Role Missing Entitlements
Resolution

This issue is resolved in the following version.

  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2.1 P02

Note that as of January 2020 the official distribution on RSA Link for the 7.2.1 release has been replaced with the 7.2.1 P02 version which is not susceptible to this issue.  Customers now downloading RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle should not encounter this issue.

WorkaroundIt is assumed that customers encountering this issue are installing an older version of the installer package. If you encounter this issue, please contact RSA Customer Support and quote this article number for assistance in obtaining a new migration script to resolve this issue.

If the customer is doing migration in multiple environments, they should be encouraged to download a new copy of the software.
