RSA Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce is a comprehensive authentication and fraud detection solution for the eCommerce market. The solution is based on the 3DSecure protocol (""Verified By Visa"" and ""MasterCard SecureCode"") and is powered by risk-based authentication, an intelligent system that authenticates a user by measuring a series of risk indicators. Transparent authentication provides a user-experience in which a customer is only challenged in high-risk scenarios.



What's New in Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce v17.2



The following enhancements are included in Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce v17.2:



-       New SMS Vendor (Telesign). RSA offers a new SMS step-up authentication vendor, available out-of-the-box, to provide enhanced geographical coverage, and efficiency of deployment procedures.


-       New MasterCard History Server. To ensure compliance with the new MasterCard mandate, RSA sends the transactional details of all MasterCard SecureCode transactions processed by RSA to MasterCard. This provides the issuer with insights and high level statistics of e-commerce traffic processed by RSA. 





-       Enhanced Back Office API. The Back Office API is enhanced to include new data views in the Case Management application, providing better visibility and higher granularity in the risk-assessment decision process. This enhancement is relevant for customers who enable the Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce Policy Management application. 



-       Recorded Status History. In the Policy Management application, when a user approves or rejects a request for a status change, the system automatically records the user name and the time of the action. You can view previous actions in the Manage Rules, Summary section, View All Comments link.





For US customers, the environment is available from January 11, 2015.


For non-US customers, the environment is available from January 18, 2015.
