New in this Version

RSA Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1 includes the following new features and enhancements.

Back Office Single Sign-On (SAML 2.0)

RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.0.1 includes Single Sign-on (SSO), allowing you to use federated identities to achieve the following:

- Enhanced, more efficient user experience through single sign-on to Back Office applications.

- Enhanced security allows management of RSA Adaptive Authentication Back Office application users and your organizationÕs back office application users, in one central location.

Raw Data Reports

The new Raw Data Reports provide a rich set of raw data values. Organizations can select the data that they need from these data values to audit or to integrate with their own internal tools for further data analysis.

RDP Trojan Protection

RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.0.1 is now able to detect Trojan activities executed using malware with built-in Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)/Virtual Network Computing (VNC) clients. The RDP Trojan Protection feature is designed to detect fraudulent activity, in real time, from a compromised PC device infected with malware that leverages RDP/VNC built-in services. While the genuine end user browses an online website, the fraudster uses RDP/VNC functionality to perform fraudulent activity on that same website, from that same device, exploiting the trust between the genuine user (victim) and the online website. The new RDP Trojan Protection feature is designed to detect such surreptitious attacks.

A new fact entitled, ""Suspected RDP Trojan Attack"", is now available in the Policy Management application, to create rules to detect RDP Trojan attacks, and identify whether a specific activity was performed by a genuine user or a fraudster using RDP/VNC on an end-user device.  A new field entitled, ""Suspected RDP Trojan Attack"" is also exposed in the Case Management application, indicating if an RDP Trojan attack was detected. For research purposes, cases can be filtered in the Case Management application according to this new field. The RDP Trojan Protection feature requires your organization to use the latest rsa.js, for more details refer to the RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.0.1 Integration Guide.

Enhanced Mobile Channel Protection

The following facts have been added to the Policy Management application in RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.0.1:

- Compromised (jailbroken or rooted)

- Emulator mobile device

These facts can be used to create rules and are included in the Case Management application in the device details section when the channel indicator is mobile. These facts are only useable by customers who have implemented Mobile SDK 2.0 and above.

Upgrade Information

Upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11.x to 12.0.1

Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1 and Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11.x are hosted in different environments which are maintained in parallel, allowing for a gradual upgrade to Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1. Unlike in previous upgrades, the upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11.x to Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1, will not be implemented automatically for all Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) customers. For information about the upgrade, see the RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.0.1 Upgrade Guide in the Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1 documentation set.

To arrange for the upgrade, contact an RSA account representative.

Upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0 to 12.0.1

The upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0 to Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1 will be implemented automatically for all Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0 customers. To benefit from the new features available in Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1, customers will need to implement certain procedures as detailed in the RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.0.1 Integration Guide.
