Summary:

 

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, announces the release of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 8.9 in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment on October 31, 2010.

  For EMEA data center customers, the production installation of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 8.9 will take place on November 7, 2010. For US data center customers, the production installation of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 8.9 will take place on November 14, 2010.

  This release includes support for client-side certificates. Client-side certificates enable mutual authentication between RSA and organizations using the Adaptive Authentication API. For more information, see the WhatÕs New, posted at: https://knowledge.rsasecurity.com{item_url: 10450}

Recommendation:

 

RSA will notify customers again tentatively on October 31, 2010 when RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 8.9 is implemented in the UAT environment. Customers are encouraged to perform regression testing against the UAT environment to identify any potential issues prior to the production release.
