Summary:

 

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, announces the release of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 10 in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment on September 18, 2011.

  For EMEA data center customers, the production installation of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 10 will take place on October 23, 2011. For US data center customers, the production installation of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 10 will take place on October 30, 2011.

  RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 10 offers Policy Manager enhancements, which include user interface enhancements, new sensors, and new List Editor options that enable organizations to more easily and flexibly define policy rules. This version also offers automatic channel detection, which detects whether a user is accessing your application via a mobile device or regular web browser to optimize risk calculations. Only organizations that sign up for Mobile Protection will be able to define rules in Policy Manager and filter open cases in Case Management for transactions originating from a mobile device.

  Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 10 also includes end-to-end out-of-band SMS authentication as an additional step-up authentication method, as well as call forwarding detection for out-of-band phone authentication. Both features will provide another layer of security to online transactions and will help protect against Trojan attacks and other threats.
