We are pleased to announce the release of RSA Adaptive Authentication Hosted version 11.0.

Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11 introduces two key features:

  • Mobile Channel Protection Enhancements: Improved and dedicated risk model for mobile activity enhanced by location awareness and additional mobile device identifiers.
  • Trojan Defense: Advanced detection capabilities to defend against some of the most malicious and costly Trojans such as Man in the Middle (MITM) and Man in the Browser (MITB) that enable proxy attacks, HTML injections, and auto-fill of payee and transfer fields.

The Risk Engine in Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11 features a new risk model that supports Mobile Channel Protection and Trojan Defense.  This risk model seeks to achieve more accurate risk scores.  Following your upgrade to AAH v11, you might experience an increased challenge rate and an increase in the number of cases in case management.  These would be mostly due to transactions that originated from the mobile channel.  We believe that increased rates, if these occur at all, will stabilize within a few days as the risk score normalization process will adapt and adjust the risk score back to the normal ranges.

RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11 release date was timed for Saturday (instead of the normal practice of Sunday) to allow an additional run of the normalization process during weekend hours

For EMEA data center customers, the production installation of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11 will take place on January 12, 2013.

For US data center customers, the production installation of RSA Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11 will take place on January 19, 2013.
