RSA, The Security Division of EMC, announces Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce v16.0
The RSA Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce v16.0 solution is a comprehensive authentication and fraud detection solution for the eCommerce market. The solution is based on the 3DSecure protocol (Verified By Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey) and is powered by risk-based authentication, an intelligent system that authenticates users by measuring a series of risk indicators. This transparent authentication provides for a unique user experience as customers are only challenged in the highest risk scenarios.
Version 16.0 introduces the following functional and technical enhancements:
Eliminate Duplicate Cases for Compromised Cards
To reduce the amount of time fraud analysts spend handling duplicate cases from confirmed fraudulent PANs, per request, RSA can configure your 3DS and Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce solution not to generate new cases for transactions from the same card. Future transactions will be tracked and maintained within the solution repository, which fraud analysts can view.
Sort Cases in Case Management
To improve efficiency in the Case Management application, fraud analysts can sort case related transactions according to their time stamp and status.
Locate and Filter Back Office Users in the Customer Service Administration Application
To reduce the amount of time it takes to locate Back Office users in the Customer Service Administration application, administrators can search users according to parameters such as their Login name.
New Multi-function Role
RSA has created a new role that provides users with access to the following applications: Customer Service, Case Management, Policy Editor, and Web Reports.
3DS and Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce can distinguish between transactions arriving directly from online merchants from those processed by the V.me Visa e-Wallet platform. By distinguishing between transactions, RSA has the ability to address unique fraud patterns and consumer behaviors that might be seen through V.me transactions.
RSA has addressed several security related issues found in internal and external audits improving the overall security of the service and the protection provided to the sensitive data.
