Summary: 

RSA BSAFE SSL-J (SSL-J) software provides developers with the foundation to deliver SSL- and TLS-enabled Java applications. SSL-J security software provides software libraries, sample code and documentation that significantly reduce the amount of work and expertise required to perform SSL- and TLS-enabled communications.

Enhancements added in SSL-J 6.2 include:

  • Native mobile platform support.
  • Updated platform support and application server interoperability.
  • Implementation of the SCrypt algorithm in the JsafeJCE API.
  • Support for Hash and CTR Deterministic Random Bit Generation algorithms.

Your RSA software license may not grant you the right to develop applications on all of the platforms listed. Recommendation:

As with any new update release, RSA strongly encourages users of the RSA BSAFE Cert-J to upgrade to this new version. Our standard support and maintenance arrangements are contingent on users having the most up-to-date version of our software products.
