The Web Threat Detection (formally known as RSA Silver Tail) platform runs on CentOS 6.x or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x






RSA Web Threat Detection 4.6.0 (formally known as RSA Silver Tail) is a major release with a host of new features and enhancements including:




Greater Insight into the Online Threat Environment


This release provides visibility into third party sites that enables Info Sec and Fraud teams to defend against attacks originating outside of their websites during a web session.  Some of the most popular third party sites that would require visibility to find threats includes, but not limited to, online bill payment, stock purchase, mortgage application, and sweepstakes.




Highly Powerful Investigation Tools


ÔSearchÕ feature that helps in investigating needle-in-the-haystack type of fraud patterns, have been significantly enhanced. Now, complex searches can be performed without any time boundaries, including the ability to perform multiple searches in parallel. Also, search techniques have been further advanced with new operators and usability such as quick access to searchable items such fields; drop down menus for easy search string entries and option to save searches. 




Enhanced Threat Detection


Streaming Analytics has continually been enhanced in every release of RSA Web Threat Detection (formally known as RSA Silver Tail) to find more threats in web sessions. In this release, Periodicity score has been added to the already existing set of 6 threat scores. In addition, now identifying events that occur on websites, such as User Agent Changed, Geo Divergence, External Referrer Change and Change in Geo of IP is possible with Clickstream</i> Events</i>. There is Insight</i> available for each event to provide further context. </span></p> 



In this release, the rule engine provides further flexibility in writing more advanced rules using Regex. Also, EDS Files can be updated instantly without restarting Mitigator.




Compliance and System Management Enhancements


Audit Logging is now available to track every change that occurs in the rules management. The audit data available is very granular capturing details such as user, IP, before and after values and time.




Disk Utilization can be easily tracked and managed starting this release. With configuration, automatic purging of data is available when the disk is full with logs and reports.
