Summary:

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, announces the release of Web Threat Detection 5.1.1. The release includes several security enhancements and bug fixes. We recommend that customers upgrade to WTD 5.1.1 in order to increase the security of your deployment. The following are the highlights of the release. For further details, please refer to Release Notes and product documentation.

1) Password change requirement

Upon authentication with a default password you will be prompted to immediately change the password. This ensures that default passwords are not used beyond initial setup.

2)  Password required to run cassandra_ttl.py file

If you want to run the cassandra_ttl.py file to update the Cassandra database, you need to enter the password for the Cassandra database in order for the script to work correctly.

Platforms:

The RSA Web Threat Detection platform runs on CentOS 6.x or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x.

WTD has been modified to use TLS 1.2 for accessing the web user interface. Please verify that your browser has support for TLS version 1.2.
