This topic tells you how to start a collection service and enable the automatic start of a collection service.

Context

If a collection service stops, you may need to start again, or you may want to enable the automatic start of a collection service.

Start a Collection Service

Return to Procedures

The following figure shows you how to start a collection service.

Select a Log Collector service and click AdvcdExpandBtn.PNGunder Actions.

Click View > System.

Click Collection > service (for example, Windows Legacy) and click Start.

Enable Automatic Start of Individual Services

The following figure shows you how to enable the automatic start of a collection service.

Select a Log Collector service and click AdvcdExpandBtn.PNG under Actions.

Click View > Config.

Select the Start Collection on Service Startup checkbox for a collection service  (for example, Windows Legacy) and click Apply.

(Optional) You can click Enable All and click Apply to select every collection service to start upon the startup of the Log Collector service.
