Issue | When new Solutions are licensed, ODA's (On Demand Application) changed, licensed users or other changes have been made to an existing license, the license key needs to be refreshed in order to reflect these changes. Occasionally, there are maybe other situations where refreshing the key is a recommended step. |
Resolution | Below are the steps to update the license key. (Automatic version)
Log onto one of the Archer servers. Open the Archer Control Panel as administrator (right click, choose 'Run' as administrator) Double-click instance name on the left side of the ACP At the top, you will see the option "Update License Key" button (select this) Paste or type the new license key into the boxes (a paste will populate all the boxes) Complete additional information (these additional required fields are not verified so you can just enter a single character in each) Select Automated if you have internet access on that server (or Manually if you don't… see below) Click Activate Verify License details at top of Instance Information section of ACP (your details will be different than those shown below) Click ‘ Save All’ at top right of ACP Close the ACP

Notes | This document makes some assumptions:
- That you have your license key (new or existing)
- That you have admin access (login ability and local admin access) to an Archer server where the Archer Control Panel can be run. (web or the application/services server)
Note that in order to do an ‘Automatic’ activation, the server running the Archer Control Panel will need Internet access. If internet access is not available, refer to the ‘Manual’ instructions at the bottom of this document. |
