|Issue||We would like to change all the text "violations" to "conflicts" in the RSa Via L&G application, including Menus, Regular text, text with calculated values, etc.|
How can this be accomplished?
|Resolution||Making text changes for the UI is possible. This is referenced in the Administrators Guide in versions prior to V7. It is part of the online help in V7 and later, under the 'Managing the User Interface' section.|

RSA IMG user interface management features let you specify a user interface style from a set of
styles and upload files you can use to customize your dashboards in the user interface. This section
also describes how to customize or create a user interface style and customize product logos and

You can upload and manage files used to customize the user interface (.jsp files for dashboards or
image files for example) into a set of particular directories in the system’s “custom” subdirectory.
The directories are replicated into the database, which supports portability of the files from one
system to another. Files are immediately loaded into the user interface upon a user interface
refresh (applicable in both non-clustered and clustered environments).
You can also rename files and delete files you no longer require.
To upload files:
1. Click the Admin menu and select User Interface.
The User Interface window appears. The Files tab is displayed by default.
2. Select the category of the file you want to upload:
• Images (See “Customizing Product Logos on the User Interface” on page 68 more
• Customer Strings (See “Customizing User Interface Text” on page 68 for more
• Security Files (See Chapter 6, “Managing RSA IMG Application Privileges,” on page 103 for
• Dashboard Images (Consult Professional Services.)
• JSP Pages (Consult Professional Services.)
3. Click Upload.
The default file, strings.properties, can be found at /home/oracle/jboss/server/default/deploy/aveksa.ear/aveksa.war/WEB-INF/classes/com/aveksa/gui. A local customerstrings.properties file is then created and modified, which would include only those changes required. For exmaple, if only 1 text word would be changed, there would be only 1 line in this file. The content of the customerstrings.properties should be of the same syntax for the given line in the default strings.properties file.
After the file is modified/updated, it should be uploaded thru the Admin-> User Interface -> Files (select customer strings form drop down).
