IssueWhen we create inherited RP files we can select either of the options. (i.e. unrestricted and restricted)  Once a inherited RP field is created with a selected option, it cannot be changed later as this could cause complications and the other option will be grayed out. 
In these situations, we cannot change from unrestricted to restricted and vice versa . Creating a new RP field is not an option if it is tied up to a mobile app. 
ResolutionTo change the permission field, follow the steps below.
  1. Create a new inherited RP field with restricted option selected in target instance.
  2. Import the original package on the target instance.
  3. Associate the field from source instance to new field in target application. This way during mapping it updates the field ID on the target field to the same as of the source field.
