|Issue||This article describes how to connect to the IMG database using ADO (a Microsoft API that allows users access to databases) in order to develop SQL queries against the database.|
|Tasks||Read access to the IMG public schema database is accessible via username: acmdb and password: xxxxx (call support for this password). Follow the Microsoft instructions for connecting to a database via ADO using the above username and password where needed.|
For more information on the public schema database, please refer to the Public_Database_Schema_Reference.pdf distributed with each product release.
NOTE: The acmdb public schema default password may be modified. If this password has been modified, please contact your database administrator for the new password needs to used in order to connect to the database.
|Resolution||The IMG public schema database is accessible via any application that can access a database. In addition to ADO; other examples of applications that can access the IMG public schema database are: TOAD, SQL Developer and SQuirreL.|
NOTE: These same applications may be used to access tables directly in the IMG database. However, the tables should not be directly accessed unless directed to do so by RSA IMG support.
