|Applies To||Affected Versions: 3.6.5|
A change was implemented in 3.6.5 release which directly affects existing EDC/MAEDC functionality. If this change is implemented, there may be an improvement in the overall EDC/MAEDC job performance as well as minimized impact on other ACM user functions. If this change is implemented, the system should be monitored and evaluated for overall application behavior while EDC/MAEDC collections are run. If there is degradation of performance, then this change should be removed (disabled).
The attached .pdf file outlines considerations for implementing this feature as well as who should NOT use it, how to enable and disable it, and what should be monitored, etc.
The major change in the code, is when the database tables are actually updated. By changing when the update takes place, it minimizes overall impact to the database.
