If you need to determine approximately how large an Aveksa database export file* will be before creating one, using the AVDB_Export_AVUSER.sh script, you can run the following UNIX command in a terminal window connected to the Aveksa system. The command is run as the oracle user and the data below is all on 1 line:
expdp avuser/secret directory=Aveksa_ExportImport_Directory ESTIMATE=blocks estimate_only=y logfile=log.log
expdp - Oracle datapump utility which is used for the backup
avuser/secret - Credentials for database access
directory=Aveksa_ExportImport_Directory - Output directory. This is specified when creating the database and by default is /home/oracle/AveksaExportImportDir
ESTIMATE=blocks estimate_only=y - Don't do the backup just tell me how big it is
- File name for output that you see in the terminal window.

*Also known as the database backup, database dump or datapump export file
