IssueThis article provides information on how to:
  • Enable a custom SecurID authentication agent to use a non-default configuration file directory.
  • Navigate through a successful first authentication.
  • Resolve when subsequent authentication attempts result in a node verification failed error.
ResolutionVersion 6.1 of the RSA Authentication Agent API added function AceInitializeEx, which allows the programmer to specify the path to the sdconf.rec file.  The Authentication Manager status file (sdstatus.12) and node secret file (securid) are also written to the specified directory.  Be sure to define a directory on which the agent application has write permissions.
NotesSee sample sync3.c for example code that utilizes AceInitializeEx to initialize the API.
