CauseThe root cause is still under investigation.  However, it appears that a process got "stuck" which is causing a cascading failure.

1. Open a terminal session on the server- need to be root to run /sbin/chkconfig rsaauthmgr off/ [on]

2. /sbin/chkconfig rsaauthmgr off                 - Appliance/Linux:#    sudo su -        1st

3. Reboot the server                               - Appliance/Linux:#   reboot                  [shutdown -r now]

-- where <password> is the password displayed in the previous step

SQL> shutdown abort;

SQL> startup mount;
