IssueHow to start services on Authentication Manager 7.1 or RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 after installing SP2
Database Server fails to start after SP2 upgrade
Cannot logon to Operations console
Authentication Manager services will not start
Cause

If RSA services will not start after installing SP2, run the following command from
C:\Program Files\RSA Security\RSA Authentication Manager\utils (Windows) 
or
<RSAHOME>/RSASecurity/RSAAuthenticationManager\utils (UNIX):


  • rsautil manage-replication -a list (Windows) 
  • ./rsautil manage-replication -a list (UNIX)
 

If you see the following error, the system fingerprint has been altered and needs to be recovered:



com.rsa.common.SystemException: org.springframework.jdbc.CannotGetJdbcConnectionException: Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException:


ORA-01034: ORACLE not available


ORA-27101: Shared memory realm does not exist


Linux Error: 2: No such file or directory


Resolution

To recover the fingerprint, enter the following command from
C:\Program Files\RSA Security\RSA Authentication Manager\utils (Windows) 
or
<RSAHOME>/RSASecurity/RSAAuthenticationManager/utils (UNIX):


  • rsautil manage-secrets -a recover (Windows) 
  • ./rsautil manage-secrets -a recover (UNIX)

Restart all RSA Authentication Manager services or reboot.
