Backup
Cause

This error message occurs if you use the command line utility to make a backup but fail to supply a suffix for the backup file.  So, the following command would be wrong:

              rsautil manage-backups -m Passwd01. -a export --verbose -f c:\backupcmd\backupfile --transfer

Resolution

The correct command should have a file suffix used when specifying the destination file, for example:

              rsautil manage-backups -m Passwd01. -a export --verbose -f c:\backupcmd\backupfile.dmp --transfer
