How do I know when Envision is ready or getting ready to swap storage locations?
Resolution

DIRECTORY STORAGE LOCATIONS RULES


1. It is time to switch if any of the following occur:
     a) The percent full has reached the switch point %
     b) There is not enough disk space to store 2 days worth of data at the current estimated storage rate
     c) The active drive has not been accessible for more than 15 minutes
     d) The active drive is no longer inbound enabled
     e) A manual switch has been requested
2. A Location must match the following criteria to become an active location.
     a) It must be Inbound (write) enabled
     b) It must have enough space defined by more than 50% of the targeted switch point and it has the oldest active start time of all the other locations assigned to the node, or it must have enough space defined by more than 80% of the targeted switch point and it has the most free space of all the other locations assigned to the node.
     c) It must be accessible, the path must exist and permissions must be correct.
3. The switch will occur on the next GMT day boundary unless:
     a) The top of the next GMT day is with-in 10 minutes of processing the switch event, then we will be delayed one additional GMT day.
     b) A manual switch is requested with the force argument, in which case the switch will occur at the previous GMT day boundary.  This type of switch is used only to recover from a completely non-recoverable storage location problem.  It will leave some of the current day's data non-accessible by the system.
