|Issue||Checking the license for RSA Authentication Manager|
Applying a license when installing RSA Authentication Manager fails or gives an unusual result.
Checking the license for RSA Authentication Manager
RSA Authentication Manager 7.1/8.0/8.1 and RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 license files are made up of six files:
? Two private keys: server.key & defaultRSAToolbar.key
? Three certificates: server.cer, defaultRSAToolbar.cer and sdti.cer
? The license XML files e.g. 3030931_10_20140325.XML
Please ensure you use the correct license for the RSA Authentication Manager or RSA SecurID Appliance being licensed for evaluation or production use.
Checking License Properties
Open the license XML file in a text editor (such as Notepad) to check the license properties.
Customer and Product information are near the top of the XML file.
NOTE: The customerAccountID is required by RSA Customer Support to open support requests.
Check the license type
Different License types:
The features of the license are found in the remainder of the license. If a feature is missing from the license, for example RADIUS, then the RADIUS tab is not displayed in the RSA Security Console for RADIUS configuration usage.
The end of the license file contains a signature to ensure that the XML file cannot be tampered with. Should a change be done to the license then the license file becomes invalid.
IMPORTANT NOTE: RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0, RSA Authentication Manager 8.0/8.1 virtual appliances and the latest RSA SecurID Appliance running RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 software require the license zip file uploaded during the Quick Setup )and not individual license files).
