IssueCorrect Order to Start and Stop Authentication Manager 7.1 on Windows
manually start services
scripted startup
scripted shutdown
Resolution

Updated for multiple versions

Win2008-R2-64bit
For AM7.1 SP4 P11 or higher on Win2008-r2-64-bit , there were changes applied by P11+ , required by RADIUS, that change the dependencies and order of startup/shutdown.
You can still manually select the order listed above, but with certain steps, the system will ask if it can shutdown other services first.
Allow the system to shutdown other services as it requests.

IMPORTANT: Because of options that can be chosen during installation of older versions, differences in OS, and changes in the services during updates, some of these services will not exist in any particular system, and some may be disabled.  Also, as you upgrade to different service packs, some services can be added, removed, or set to disabled.  Select the ones that are configured on your system, and stop them in the listed order:

RSA RADIUS Server Operations Console

RSA RADIUS Server 7.1

RSA Authentication Manager Job Scheduler

RSA Authentication Manager Operations Console

RSA Authentication Manager

RSA Authentication Manager Proxy Server

RSA Authentication Manager Database Instance

RSA Authentication Manager Cluster Administrator   (pre-SP2)

RSA Authentication Manager Administration Server  (SP2+)

RSA Authentication Manager Node Manager

RSA Authentication Manager Database Server

RSA Authentication Manager Database Listener

Reverse the order for manual startup.

If you upgrade the Service Pack on your system, you will need to review the changes in your services, and update your shutdown/startup scripts

Notes

Authentication Manager 7.1 pre-SP2, only included as a reference as the old version is  no longer covered under Primary support
