Issue | The RSA enVision Password Manager Utility fails with, LBs passphrase is not in sync with the old passphrase[8].![]() |
Cause | The passphrase does not match in the Lockbox, possibly due to an RSA enVision account password has been changed not using the RSA enVision Password Manager Utility. |
Resolution | Sync the RSA enVision Lockbox passphrase. 1. Stop the enVision NIC services. On the enVision appliance in service.msc, stop NIC Service Manager service, and confirm only the NIC DB Server service is running. 2. Sync the Lockbox LBs passphrase, from a command prompt on the enVision appliance. cd /d %_envision%/password/"update scripts" cscript SyncPasswords.vbs When requested enter the known password for the user logins: master, nic_system, nic_sshd, nic_sftp ![]() 3. Restart the enVision NIC services. On the enVision appliance in service.msc, confirm the NIC DB Server service is still running, then start the NIC Service Manager service. The Guide mentions, you must use the Password Manager Utility in the RSA enVision appliance in order to change the passwords. |
