Article Number000032250
Applies ToRSA Product Set: SecurID
RSA Product/Service Type: Authentication Manager
RSA Version/Condition: 8.1
IssueThe rsaserv command cannot be executed to check Authentication Manager 8.1 services, as in the example below:
rsadmin@81p:/opt/rsa/am/server> ./rsaserv status all
rsadmin@81p:/opt/rsa/am/server>

CauseThe  /opt/rsa/am/server/rsaserv file is corrupt and will show a file size of 0 bytes.  On a healthy Authentication Manager server, the file size should be 7237 bytes.  Also check the file size of the /opt/rsa/am/utils/lib/manage-secrets-8.1.1.9.0.jar.  It should be 12698 bytes.

Resolution
  1. Copy the rsaserv file from another working instance of Authentication Manager, either primary or replica, place it in /opt/rsa/am/server.
  2. Copy the manage-secrets-8.1.1.9.0.jar file from another working instance of Authentication Manager, either primary or replica, place it in /opt/rsa/am/utils/lib.
If the deployment has only a primary server, contact RSA Support for fresh copies of these files.
