IssueWhen attempting to authenticate via the RSA SecurID Authentication Agent for Microsoft Windows 7.2.1 agent the end user has to key in his user ID each time.
ResolutionTo have the user ID be persistent, follow the steps below:
  1. On the desktop running the RSA SecurID Authentication Agent for Microsoft Windows 7.2.1,press Start.
  2. In the Run box, type regedit.exe and press Enter.
  3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft \Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies \System.
  4. Ensure that the value of DontDisplayLastUserName is set to 0.
  5. On the taskbar, click Start.  In the Run box, type in cmd and press Enter.
  6. In the command window type gpupdate /force and press Enter.
  7. Log off from the desktop and try to login again.
