On a DELL R300 (or R710), the ASM partition is sda3. It is only on a DELL 2900 appliance that the ASM partition is sdb1.


During the ACM installation process, specify sda3 as ASM partition when you run install script.


Normally, at the time of installation script asks you to input the partition info. If you are not prompted for this information this means that /tmp/ Aveksa_System.cfg was already created.


In order to ensure that the correct ASM partition is specified, you have 2 choices:

1. Delete /tmp/Aveksa_System.cfg (which will result in the user prompted for the ASM partition during installation)

2 Edit Aveksa_System.cfg (and manually change the ASM disk partition value)

The change you'll have to make is:
