IssueThe following message appears in the RSA Authentication Manager Self-Service Console when trying to activate a software token using QR code:
Failed to generate QR Code

CauseThe activation code expiration of the token is set to Do not expire activation codes.

WorkaroundSet an expiration date for the token activation code by following the steps below:
  1. Log into the Authentication Manager Security Console.
  2. Navigate to Setup > System Settings.
  3. Under Authentication Settings, click on Tokens.
  4. Under Dynamic Seed Provisioning Configuration, enable Activation Code Expiration and set the number of days that the activation code can be used after the software token is distributed (the default is 7 days).
  5. Click Save.
  6. Redistribute the token.
