IssueUser installs certificate getting encryption button in outlook
Wants to issue signing ONLY certificate to their end-users to use with Outlook. Can not configure the RCM's Outlook ActiveX control to only configure certificate for signing. Certificate is being set for signing and encryption in Outlook.
Cause

Here is the current functionality of Outlook Integration:

During End-entity certificate download, RSAOutlookControl.dll -

Creates a new security profile as specified in the jurisdiction configuration
Selects the toolbar (for displaying encrypt and sign button in the Outlook while creating a new mail) as specified in the jurisdictions configuration -
The display of encrypt and sign button in the Outlook depends on the Default security profile configuration in Outlook security configuration.

I.e. as per the current code, RSAOutlookControl.dll does not remove any of already enabled options and buttons in Outlook security configuration, when we uncheck the sign or encrypt options in jurisdiction configurations.

If any of the options is not enabled in security profile configuration in Microsoft Outlook, then RSAOutlookControl.dll will set that option depending on the jurisdiction configuration.

Resolution

Prior to build517, when you download a certificate to use with Microsoft Outlook, you can use that certificate to both sign and encrypt e-mails simultaneously. You cannot use the certificate only to sign e-mails.

After installing RSA Certificate Manager 6.8 build517 or higher, when you download a certificate to use with Microsoft Outlook, you can now use that certificate to sign, or sign and encrypt e-mails.
