IssueUsing an underscore (_) in IP hostname
Error: "Not acting server for this agent" in Activity Log
Replica fails to contact the Primary after initial installation
CauseThe name of one of the machines has an underscore _ character in it, such as "myserver_ras". This name does not conform to IP naming specifications, as the underscore is an invalid character.
ResolutionThe name resolution service (be it NIS, DNS, or host files) should be corrected so the invalid character is no longer used. For more information on valid IP naming conventions see RFC-952 and RFC-1123.
