There are some simple tests that can be conducted to check a Web Express 1.2 system or RSA Deployment Manager 1.3. to make sure the basic connectivity and that the administration parameters are correct.
The Web Express server (or Deployment Manager) does not need to be running but the ACE/Server or Authentication Manager must be running.
There are a few issues - when the program finishes it may not terminate properly and you may be forced to hit CTRL+C (this has only been observed when testing Web Express 1.2). At present the instructions for usage are as follows:
1. Create a temporary directory in the root of the machine where Web Express is installed
2. Copy in the supplied files to this directory
3. Edit the runme-we12.cmd or runme-dm13.cmd and set the following values to the site specific values:
4. Go to a command line and run "runme-we12.cmd" for Web Express 1.2 or "runme-dm13.cmd" for Deployment Manager 1.3
If the installation is correct then it will use the appropriate JRE and JAR files that the software would use and test a number of key systems.
The tool is bundled inside RSASCheck.zip which may be downloaded from ftp://ftp.rsasecurity.com/support/users/mjbond/RSASCheck.zip which includes RSASCheck.doc which has a full example of a successful run of runme-dm13.cmd
