IssueWARNING: Unable to contact Key Server, Single Sign-On not initialized
CauseThe OS/390 socket API requires applications to specify the protocol number. The base of the ClearTrust Agent uses the getprotbyname() system call to get the protocol number. IBM provides a search hierarchy for finding the "protocol" file; it would normally be found in a dataset named TCPIP.ETC.PROTO. If this dataset file is renamed and/or not in the default location (/etc/protocol), getprotbyname() will not be able to determine the proper protocol.
ResolutionPlacing a copy of the protocol information in the /etc/protocol directory creates a file that is looked for before TCPIP.ETC.PROTO and will correct this problem.
