IssueBEA WebLogic will not start when run as a Windows Service in RSA ClearTrust 5.5
When starting BEA WebLogic as a service the NT event viewer logs the following message:

"Source: BEA. Category: None. Type: Error. Event ID 6 - Unable to get stock class value from registry.
When starting BEA WebLogic as a service the NT event viewer logs the following message:

"Source: BEA. Category: None. Type: Error. Event ID 6 - Unable to get log value from registry."

When starting BEA WebLogic as a service the NT event viewer logs the following message:

"Source: BEA. Category: None. Type: Error. Event ID 5 - Set service status () failed".

CauseThese errors may occur if the WebLogic installation does not complete correctly
Resolution
To correct this issue, modify the registry key for the WebLogic Service entry and add the following key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\beasvc mydomain_myserver\Parameters]
"StopClass"=""

To correct this issue, modify the registry key for the WebLogic Service entry and add the following key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\beasvc mydomain_myserver\Parameters]
"Log"="c:\\bea\\logs\\WebLogicService-logs.txt"

This message will be displayed when there is any error during the WebLogic service startup that prevents the server from remaining in the start state. Refer to the contents of the log file for more information on the cause of the error and resolve these issues. The log location of the log file is determined by the "Log" registry parameter.
