Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x
RSA SecurID Web Express running on either Microsoft Windows or UNIX platforms
When a user attempts to activate their token, they are directed to a download page after providing activation code
|Issue||When using RSA SecurID Web Express for distribution of Software Tokens, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x web browser fails to download token when web server is SSL enabled|
When the user clicks the download button they get and error message reported in the web browser:
"Internet Explorer cannot download WSUserSWDownload.do from machinename.domainname.com. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."
|Cause||The fact that Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x will not download the Software Token when using SSL is a Microsoft issue. For a more detailed description of the problem, see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;815313. The BypassSSLNoCacheCheck option hides the problem, but it causes another - it causes all pages to be cached, regardless of directives from the web server.|
