Issue | When using RSA SecurID Web Express for distribution of Software Tokens, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x web browser fails to download token when web server is SSL enabled When the user clicks the download button they get and error message reported in the web browser: "Internet Explorer cannot download WSUserSWDownload.do from machinename.domainname.com. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." |
Cause | The fact that Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x will not download the Software Token when using SSL is a Microsoft issue. The BypassSSLNoCacheCheck option hides the problem, but it causes another - it causes all pages to be cached, regardless of directives from the web server. |
Resolution | This problem has been corrected in a hot fix for RSA SecurID Web Express 1.2. Contact RSA Security Customer Support and request the hot fix ID17567. |
